Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I expect during my first visit?

On your first visit, we will conduct a thorough dental exam, which includes a cleaning, X-rays (if necessary), and a review of your medical history. This helps us to assess your oral health and develop a personalized treatment plan. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about your care.

  • How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend scheduling a dental check-up and cleaning every six months. However, some patients with specific oral health needs may require more frequent visits. We’ll discuss the ideal schedule for you during your exams.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

We are in-network with Regence BlueCross BlueShield and Delta Dental Premier, which means we have negotiated rates with these insurance providers to help reduce your out-of-pocket costs. If you have one of these plans, we’ll handle the claims process directly with your insurance, and you’ll benefit from the lower in-network fees.

If your insurance is with a provider other than BlueCross BlueShield or Delta Dental Premier, we are considered out-of-network. We still accept most insurance plans and can help you submit claims for reimbursement. The reimbursement amount will depend on your specific plan and benefits, and we can assist you in understanding what to expect.

If you’re unsure whether we’re in-network with your insurance, please contact our office, and we’ll be happy to verify your coverage for you.

  • What if I don’t have dental insurance?

We offer financing options for patients without insurance, including a payment plan through CareCredit. We believe everyone should have access to quality dental care, so we work with you to find a solution that fits your budget.

  • How can I prevent cavities and gum disease?

Good oral hygiene is the best prevention! Brush your teeth at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, and visit us regularly for cleanings. Avoid sugary snacks and drinks, and consider using mouthwash to help reduce plaque buildup.

  • What should I do in a dental emergency?

If you have a dental emergency, please contact our office immediately. We offer emergency appointments for issues like severe tooth pain, broken teeth, or lost fillings. If you’re experiencing swelling, trouble breathing, or trauma, please immediately seek care at an emergency dentist or hospital emergency room.

  • What is cosmetic dentistry, and do you offer it?

Cosmetic dentistry includes a variety of treatments designed to improve the appearance of your smile. This can include teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, and orthodontics. Our team is happy to discuss the best options for you during your visit.

  • How can I whiten my teeth?

We offer professional teeth whitening treatments that are safe and effective. Let us know if you are interested in brightening your smile.

  • What should I do if I have tooth sensitivity?

Tooth sensitivity can be caused by several factors, such as gum recession, cavities, or worn tooth enamel. We recommend scheduling an appointment so we can determine the cause and recommend appropriate treatments, which may include fluoride treatments, special toothpaste, or other options.

  • I’m nervous about visiting the dentist. What should I do?

We understand that many patients feel anxious about dental visits. Let us know about your concerns when you schedule your appointment, and we can discuss options such as oral sedation or ways to help you feel more comfortable. We’re here to make your visit as stress-free as possible.
